CIMS’ heartland lies in the provision of strategic advice and evidence-based research that informs business, NGOs and the public sector, and ultimately delivers better livelihoods to small-holder farmers across Latin America.
While agriculture remains our core focus, we also work with ‘enabling’ sectors such as renewable energy (e.g. bio-mass), aquaculture and fishery, and tourism.
Why we are unique: CIMS is a rare blend of academic independence, scientific rigour and business know-how, and our team reflects this vital mix. Non-profit in nature, we remain true to our academic roots, whilst acknowledging the need to provide pragmatic, solutions-oriented advice.
